Population dynamics and regulation

Population dynamics is the branch of life sciences that studies short-term and long-term changes in the size and age composition of population, and the biological and environmental processes influencing those changes.

Population dynamics deals with the way populations are affected by birth and death rates, and by immigration and emigration, and studies topics such as aging populations or population decline.

Population dynamics and Its Characteristics

A population ecologist studies the interaction of organisms with their environments by measuring properties of populations rather than the behavior of individual organisms. Properties of populations include;

· Population size

· Population density

· Patterns of dispersion

· Demographics

· Population growth Limit on population growth

Population dynamics in which we study the size and age composition of populations as dynamical systems, and the biological and environmental processes driving them (such as birth and death rates, and by immigration and emigration).
