Water cycle (life cycle of water)
Inwhich Cycle water circulates in the oceans, atmosphere,land, and produce precipitation as rain and snow, drainage in the rivers, and then water return to the Environments by transpiration process.
Water is an integral part of life on this planet. It is an odorless, tasteless, substance that overs more than three-fourths of the Earth’s surface. Most of the water on Earth, 97% to be exact, is salt water found in the oceans.
Difference Between salty water and Fresh water
We cannot drink salt water or use it for crops because the salt content. We can remove salt from ocean water, but the process is very expensive. Only about 3% of Earth’s water is fresh. Two percent of the Earth’s water (about 66% of all fresh water) is in solid form, found in the ice caps and glaciers. Because it is frozen and so far away, the fresh water in ice caps is not available for use by people or plants.

That leaves about 1% of all the Earth’s water in form useable to humans and land animals. This fresh water is found in lakes, rivers, streams, ponds, and in the ground (a small amount of water is found as vapor in the atmosphere).

The hydrologic cycle begins with the evaporation of water from the surface or the ocean. As moist air is lifted, it cools and water vapours condenses to form clouds. Moisture is transported around the globe until it returns to the surface as precipitation.
How Water Reach the Ground
1- some of the water may evaporate back into the atmosphere.
2- the water may penetrate the surface and become groundwater.
3- Groundwater either seeps its way to into the oceans, rivers, and streams, or is released back into the atmosphere through transpiration.
Water balance
The balance of water that remains on the earth’s surface is runoff, which empties into lakes, rivers and streams and is carried back to the oceans, where the cycle begins again.
